New York singer-songwriter Willy Mason lined up for Saturday...

The critically acclaimed Willy Mason is set to sing up a storm on Saturday night at the festival, with a slot on the Second Stage.

Mason shot on to the music scene at the tender age of 19 with top 30 single Oxygen. His albums Where The Humans Eat and If The Ocean Gets Rough followed, to worldwide critical acclaim, showcasing his incredible level of wisdom and piercing emotional insight.

Over the years he's supported the likes of Radiohead, Death Cab For Cutie, Beth Orton, Damien Rice and Norah Jones on tour and nabbed spots playing SXSW and Glastonbury Festival.

New York based We Are Scientists are set to play this years Stockton Weekender on Saturday 4 August. Having played every major festival around from Glastonbury to T in the Park, the trio are bound to impress audiences at this years event.

The Go! Team confirmed for Saturday

Mercury nominated The Go! Team have been confirmed to play Saturday at this years Stockton Weekender. The band have released three critically acclaimed albums since 2004, each producing perfect party tunes such as Ladyflash, Bottle Rocket, Grip Like a Vice and Rolling Blackouts.

James confirmed as Sunday's headliner!

We are delighted to announce that James will headline Sunday night at this year's festival. Anthems such as Sit Down, Just Like Fred Astaire, Sometimes, Laid and She’s a Star catapulted the band in to musical notoriety.

After disbanding in 2001 and then reforming in 2007 the band have played sell out gigs across the globe to rapturous audiences who sing a long to every word.

Top local acts join Weekender bill...

The Chapman Family - Saturday 4th August

More local talent has been confirmed for this years Stockton Weekender in the form of art rockers The Chapman Family and indie popsters Collectors Club. Both acts will play the Main Stage on Saturday 4 August.

Hartlepool youngsters PALACE have also been added to the bill on Saturday, on the Second Stage. 

Sunday night Second Stage headline announced...

TOY - Sunday 5 August

Highly regarded up and comers TOY have been confirmed to headline the Vela sponsored Second Stage on Sunday 5 August. In a short time the band have received critical acclaim from the music press and crowds alike, they  supported The Horrors on their Autumn Tour last year and in January NME named them as one of their “100 New Bands You Have to Hear” this year.

Headlining the Tees Active Cabaret Tent on Sunday 5 August is Perrier nominated stand-up comedian Alun Cochrane, who is known from TV and radio including BBC One's Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Dave’s One Night Stand, Have I Got News For You, BBC Two’s Never Mind The Buzzcocks and Mock The Week, Channel 4's 8 Out Of 10 Cats, and headlining Live At The Comedy Store on Comedy Central.

Two of Teesside's most exciting acts have been confirmed to play at this years festival. Young Rebel Set will perform on Saturday 4 August and Cattle & Cane will play on Sunday 5 August.
